Introduction
During my time at Expedia, I was involved in a range of projects, including the design of comprehensive email communication suites and product design. I collaborated closely with information architects, developers, and copywriters to create a set of enhanced products for the flight cancellation process.
How I contributed
Design involves assisting in organizing information, placing emphasis, establishing hierarchy, and achieving visual balance. It serves as a bridge that connects both businesses and customers.
The challenge
Each airline and airfare comes with its own set of rules and fees. It is important to ensure that these details are clearly outlined to assist customers in navigating what can often be a challenging and exhausting journey.
Outcome and lessons
While collaborating with an Information architect, I gained valuable insights into information hierarchy and organization. I have consistently emphasized simplicity and strived to maintain focus through the careful selection of font weights and sizes, as well as the strategic use of white space, shapes, and colors.
Various UX and fundamental design principles are used to ensure that customers instinctively understand the crucial steps to follow and where key interactions should occur.
